Award winning London based traditional couture milliner Judy Bentinck creates hats which she sees more as sculptures using techniques taught by the Queen Mother’s milliner, Rose Cory.
Having worked in film and costume design for the Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC and the Royal Opera House, her label was launched in 2002.
“Millinery is wonderfully liberating, it’s all about transforming ordinary things into art. Nature, architecture, history and mathematics can inspire me”.
Judy has demonstrated at the V&A and the British Museum, collaborated with Thierry Mugler and Charlotte Simone and her hats have been seen at Ascot and Royal Garden Parties with clients such as Clare Balding, Jenny Agutter and Dillie Keane.
