Manchester beer and cider festival
Manchester Beer and Cider Festival returns with a wonderful array of over 750 beers, ciders and perrys picked from 63 different producers and are part of what is showcased at the festival which is well known for its selection of traditional cider and perry produced from the northern region. Expect to find ciders with eye catching names such as Thundering Molly, Old Aged Pig, Farting Dog, Suicider and Waterloo Sunset.
Apple aficionados can look forward to tasting some of the North of England’s award-winning ciders including gold medallist Maxonian Mist by SiDa (Macclesfield) and 2016’s Cider of the Festival, Grumpy John’s from Shipley in West Yorkshire. Perry gold medallist Yesterday’s Dreams by La Cantina (Elland, West Yorkshire) will also be available.
An opportunity taste street food and meet and talk with the brewers is also available.
This year marks the first time they are offering the MBCF Experience which gives guests an unlimited samples of all beers and ciders at an inclusive price.
Nearly 15,000 real ale-lovers attend the festival which will open from noon – 10.30pm and until 7 pm on Saturday. Last year 65,000 pints were drunk during the 3 days.
