London Short Film Festival


Returning for the 16th year, this is a celebration of short film making which showcases the best of UK independent films in company with some International submissions. You’ll be exposed to lots of dramas, comedies, documentaries, animations and experimental works and have the opportunity to attend talks in filmmaking, watch short film screenings from emerging filmmakers, attend industry events in independent cinemas across London and enjoy live music. What’s not to like?

This year, subversions of the 80’s is highlighted with early experiments of Clio Barnard and Andrew Kotting. Unvictiming: Look out for Women Filmmakers Reframe Sexual Violence which reveals overlooked short films of women’s stories that span decades and Oliver Kaempfer who shares insight into his career as a producer of both shorts and features in conversation with LSFF’s Philip Ilson.

Oska Bright is also back for their fourth year with a short film screening in an environment friendly for audiences with sensory disabilities and on the autistic spectrum.

London short Film Festival was founded by Philip Ilson and Kate Taylor. It is an annual event that presents the best in UK short film-making talent.
